Today get to meet with our team at Kilimanjaro airport while we transfer you to your accommodation at Arusha Town. Located below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, Arusha City has a temperate climate. The city is close to the Serengeti National Park Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Mount Meru in the Arusha National Park.

You will be collected from your hotel at 0700hrs and transported to Tarangire National Park, where an awe-inspiring game-viewing adventure awaits. Embark on an unforgettable safari in a private 4×4 vehicle, guided by an experienced safari expert. This magnificent park is renowned for its abundant baobab trees, impressive population of large mammals and diverse array of bird species. The Empakai Crater is a smaller volcanic caldera located in the northern part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It is relatively lesser known compared to the more famous Ngorongoro Crater, but it’s still a stunning and unique landscape. The crater is about 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) wide and contains a soda lake at the bottom, which attracts various bird species, including flamingos. The walls of the crater are covered in lush vegetation, making it a beautiful and serene environment.
Empakai Crater is also known for its walking trails that allow visitors to hike down to the crater floor. The hike provides an opportunity to experience the breathtaking views and the diverse ecosystem within the crater. Additionally, the area surrounding the crater is inhabited by wildlife such as buffalo, baboons, and various bird species, enhancing the overall natural experience.

Rise and shine! Early Morning After breakfast at daybreak you travel down into the crater. The massive collapsed volcano is home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard – to spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs, and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area.
After an extensive game drive and a picnic for lunch, you will leave the caldera in the evening and depar to Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast, we will venture on a full-day game-viewing experience in the Serengeti plains, accompanied by a picnic lunch. The Central Serengeti, located in the heart of this breathtaking national park, is widely renowned for its abundant wildlife, impressive populations of big cats, and iconic Serengeti landscapes adorned with acacia trees. This region serves as a thriving habitat for resident animals, making it an exceptional year-round destination. However, the absolute highlights occur during the months of April to June and October to December, when the Great Migration herds pass through, amplifying the wildlife spectacle to its pinnacle.

After our morning meal, we’re embarking on a journey to Lake Natron via Klein’s Gate, conveniently located a few kilometers north of the Lobo airstrip. This gate provides easy access from Lake Natron, Ol Doinyo Lengai, and the southern route as well.
Our path will take us through the territory controlled by the Loliondo community, home to the Maasai people. This area serves as a buffer zone to the Serengeti National Park, where the Maasai coexist with wildlife, herding their cattle amidst the stunning backdrop of the Greater Serengeti ecosystem. Notably, this area is a crucial part of the Great Migration route.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we’ll proceed with the check-in process before commencing our exciting itinerary, which includes:
- Dive into the lively world of the Maasai Tribe, experiencing their rich culture firsthand.
- Explore the stunning Lake Natron, known as the most alkaline lake around here.
- Uncover the secrets of our ancient past by checking out the old footprints left by our prehistoric ancestors.

After having breakfast this morning, embark on a delightful guided hike leading you to the captivating Engaresero Waterfall – a true hidden gem. Following this memorable experience, continue your journey with a scenic drive in the direction of Mr. Oldonyo Lengai. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to get up close and appreciate the remarkable presence of this natural wonder.
Later followed by a drive back to Arusha town.

Heading to Materuni at 7:00 am, pick-up time sharp at your hotel.
Materuni Waterfalls, located near Moshi, Tanzania, is a stunning natural attraction featuring a 90-meter waterfall. The journey takes you through lush landscapes and coffee plantations, offering a picturesque view. You can enjoy a short hike and bask in the refreshing misty waters. This visit also provides cultural insights and an opportunity to meet the warm and hospitable Chagga people. It promises a serene escape with a blend of adventure, relaxation, and delectable local cuisine. 15:30 pm or less departing back to Kilimanjaro to the airport to connect with your flight evening Flight to Zanzibar North (Nungwi)
