Tell us what you wantBefore you book anything
Most of what separates a good Tanzanian safari from a tiring one is decided before anybody quotes you a price.
Tanzania is a year-round destination, but the Great Migration is in a different part of the Serengeti in February than in August. Tell us your dates first and we time the route to wherever the herds are when you travel.
See where the herds are, month by monthOne night in a park means arriving late and leaving after breakfast. Fewer places, seen properly, is the difference between a good safari and a tiring one — every journey on this page can be lengthened to give each park the time it deserves.
Five- to eight-day journeysAlmost all of our journeys are fully private — your own guide, your own 4×4 and your own pace. We also run scheduled small-group departures for solo travellers who’d like to share the adventure and the cost.

Sixteen parks, four circuits, one country — each with its own season and its own reason to be on your itinerary.

Serengeti National Park
Embark on an unrivalled journey across East Africa’s infinite plains — 14,750 km² of savannah, golden grasslands, and the greatest migration on Earth.

Descend into “Africa’s Eden” — the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, home to over 25,000 large mammals in a single, self-sustaining ecosystem.

Tarangire National Park
Venture into the land of giant baobabs and colossal elephant herds — 2,850 km² of Tanzania’s most authentic, off-the-beaten-path wilderness.

Lake Manyara National Park
Explore Tanzania’s boutique soda-lake oasis — ground-water forests, canopy walks and world-famous tree-climbing lions at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

Zanzibar Island
Navigate the Spice Island’s ancient corals, emerald waters and living history — where the scent of cloves drifts through Stone Town’s alleys and dhows cut across a sky-blue sea.

Tanzania’s remote, untouched wilderness — 4,471 km² of raw dry-season drama, where hundreds of hippos crowd shrinking pools and buffalo herds run into the thousands.

Mahale Mountains National Park
The holy grail of chimpanzee trekking — where jungle-clad mountains plunge to the white-sand beaches of Lake Tanganyika, home to the habituated “M Group.”

Gombe National Park
Tanzania’s smallest park holds its most profound encounter — locking eyes with a wild chimpanzee in the forest Jane Goodall made famous, on the shore of Lake Tanganyika.

Kitulo National Park
The “Serengeti of Flowers” — a high montane plateau of 412.9 km² that erupts each rainy season into one of the great wildflower spectacles on Earth.

Tanzania is a year-round destination. The dry seasons (June–October and December–March) offer the easiest wildlife viewing, while the Great Migration moves through the Serengeti on a predictable annual circuit — we time your route to wherever the herds are when you travel.
It moves on a continuous circuit: Ndutu and the southern plains from December to March for the calving, the central Serengeti in April and May, the Grumeti River in June, the Mara River from July to September, the northern Serengeti in October and the eastern woodlands in November. Tell us your month and we time the route to where the herds will be.
Almost all of our journeys are fully private — your own guide, your own 4×4 and your own pace. We also run scheduled small-group departures for solo travellers who'd like to share the adventure and the cost.
Our mid-range journeys start around $300–$400 per person per day, with luxury and fly-in options above that. Every price on this page is an honest starting point with no booking fees — we'll give you an exact, all-in quote once we shape your route.
Absolutely — it's one of our most popular requests. Most safaris pair beautifully with a few days on Zanzibar's beaches or a Kilimanjaro climb. Just tell us what you have in mind and we'll build it into one seamless trip.
Yes. Tanzania is one of Africa's most stable safari destinations, and we handle every detail from airport pickup to the final transfer — flights between parks, park fees, accommodation, meals and a 24/7 point of contact throughout.
We love family safaris. We tailor the pace, choose family-friendly lodges, provide private vehicles so children can move around, and brief our guides to keep younger travellers engaged. Our Family Safari is built for exactly this.
